G (GHB/GBL)
What is it?
G refers to the substances GBL and GHB. It is a depressant that produces alcohol-like intoxication. GBL and BDO (a third, less common chemical form) are prodrugs that convert into GHB in the body. It is a clear liquid with a chemical, salty, or soapy taste.
How does it feel?
Euphoria • Relaxation • Sociability • Increased libido
Can cause
Dizziness • Nausea • Sleepiness • Loss of consciousness • Overdose
Safer use and harm reduction tips
- The variants (GHB, GBL and BD) differ in dosage and duration; know your drug before consuming it. Risk of overdose.
- Dose carefully with a marked syringe (small changes can be dangerous).
- Do not mix with alcohol or other depressants.
- Dilute your dose in a soft drink as it can cause chemical burns to your mouth and throat.
- Start with and wait at least 2 hours before redosing.
- Carry Antidote (nalaxone) nasal spray, know how to use it and let others know you have it.
