What is it?
A synthetic stimulant that is often found in powder or crystalline form. 2-MMC and 3-MMC are chemical modifications of mephedrone (4-MMC/4-Methylmethcathinone). 2-MMC and 3-MMC are sometimes sold as mephedrone (4-MMC), although they differ in effect and dosages. 2-MMC and 3-MMC affect the dopamine level; users describe the effect as “cocaine-like” or “speed-like” effect where mephedrone (4-MMC) is a bit more “MDMA-like”. They are also referred to as mephy, meph, mephe, miaw, miw, meow or m-cat/mkat.
Drug checking services in cities like Berlin and London are increasingly finding that substances sold as mephedrone (MMC) often contain other synthetic variants, particularly CMCs or NEP (N-Ethyl-Pentedrone). These substances are poorly researched, and their effects and risks are largely unknown.

- Avoid binge use due to strong compulsion to redose.

- Crush your drugs into fine powder.
- Use clean straws for snorting to prevent nasal damage. Use your own tube/snorter/sniffer as hepatitis C can be transmitted.
- Do a nasal rinse after consumption.
- Carry Antidote (nalaxone) nasal spray, know how to use it and let others know you have it.
